Window Call
The functionality for defining the topology is implemented in the engineering tool as a Extension, accessible in the project in Run> Extension module Generator topology. By clicking on the frame indicating this module, the window is displayed to allow the entry of the connection definition data between bays, and the screen on which they will be shown.
Presentation of the Topology Window
The following figure shows the Topology Definition Window.
The functionality, as already mentioned, is oriented to the use of bays and the screens that show the unifilares where these bays are connected.
Display ́s Name:
For the definition of the topology, the first specification to be made is that of the screen on which the unifilar is located. At the top left of the window a list box contains the names of the screens in the project.
You must choose the screen for which you are defining the topology. All data defined in this topology will be considered to belong to this screen.
Operation ́s Level:
On the right side another list box displays the list of Assets (or Levels) defined in the project. You must create Assets to group the bays of the same substation or sector, for which you have a unifilar in which the functionality will be applied. When choosing an Asset, they will appear in the list of TagNames the bays object names defined in the project for the Asset chosen. They will also appear in the list of Suppliers Bays, on the right side, the list of bays that are already set to this screen as being bays supplyers.
TagNames
These will be the bays for which you can define your interconnection, that is topology. If there is bay with alternate internal connections, both items appear. The bay name and bay name followed by the suffix _ALT.
Suppliers Bays
One should choose from the bays listed in TagNames those that are the sources of energy supply on the "island" that will be represented on the unifilar screen.
To choose click on the bay in the TagNames list and select a bay. After pressing the button with the arrows >> to pass it to the list of supplyers. In defining the interconnections to be made on an adjacency matrix, one must start with these supplying bays.
If there is bay with alternate internal connections, both items appear. The bay name and bay name followed by the suffix _ALT. If the alternate connection is also root (supplied), it must be included in the list on the right. When you save the Adjacencia Matrix, this information will also be saved.
To change bays supplyers, make one that was no longer, click on it and remove it from the list of suppliers by pressing the button with the arrows <<.
After this to effect this change click EDIT and on the matrix screen click Save Matrix.
Edit
After these settings you must click the Edit, to show the window that contains the Adjacency array to be filled with the interconnections.
OK - Serves to exit the window after the settings are complete by clearing the list boxes.
Cancel- It's to get out of the window without saving anything.
Presentation of the Adjacency Matrix Window
By clicking the Edit of the Initial Topology Generator window, the window with the Adjacency Matrix is shown.
This window, presented in the following figure, contains a table (array) in which the rows and columns represent the bays chosen in the previous window.
On the lines the bays appear as the supplyers or from which the supply is departed on each line. (Source). In the row, one should mark the comic in the columns of the bays that are receivers in the interconnection.
In each column are presented the same bays, but as receivers (Destination).
If there are bays with alternate internal connections, both items appear. The bay name and bay name followed by the suffix _ALT. You must mark the correct connections for each of the routes.
In the figure above, it should be understood that:
LINE01 connects and is supplying BUS_33.
TRF01 connects and is supplying BUS_11.
BUS11 connects and is supplying FED01, FED02, FED03 and FED04.
After all interconnection markings have been made, press the Save Matrix, so that this data is persistently written to the Topology table in the project database.
Changes in Topology
Once the topology for a given screen is created, the save of this data is performed in the table Topology grouped as being data belonging to the screen indicated during the creation of the topology.
If changes need to be made to this topology, you should return to the Topology Generatorway Run>Extensions>Topology Generator.
The topology window will appear again. You must choose the name of the screen you originally set.
If there is no change in the bays, but only in the interconnection indications, simply click Edit Matrix.
The adjacency matrix with the already defined interconnections will be shown, and only the bays that are interconnected. To change, click the interconnections you need, or uncheck the ones that are no longer correct. To save the new setting to the database, simply click Save Matrix
If there is a change in the bays, such as new bays or bays withdrawn, choose Operation ́s Levels the desired Asset before pressing on Edit Matrix. Also choose the supplied ones again to indicate the ones that have this feature.
In the Array window, all bays will appear, both those shown in the TagNames list and also those that are perhaps in the previously saved array and are not in the new list. Again, you must mark and uncheck the interconnections in the correct way and finally press the Save Matrix, to save the new configuration. Only the participating interconnections and bays are saved in the topology data table.
Topology table in database
Each row of the table defines a connection between two bays, one supplied and one that will be supplied, through this link. The connection elements are defined internally in each bay,
The meaning of each column:
Display - Name of the screen to which this topology refers
BayId - Numeric identifier for this bay/route. Identifiers are assigned sequentially each time the table is generated or changed in the Extension environment.
BayName - Name of a bay that will supply in this connection, as defined in the Objects table. It can contain names of more than one template, but not from the sub templates of data types.
BayRoot -Contains the number UM if it is a bay supply, i.e. root of a unifilar. Contains a ZERO if it is a non-root source bay.
BayIdDest - Numeric identifier for this bay/route, which will be supplied in this connection. Identifiers are assigned sequentially each time the table is generated or changed in the Extension environment.
BayNameDest - Bay name as defined in the Objects table, which will be supplied in this connection. It can contain names of more than one template, but not from the sub templates of data types.
Observation: When writing the records in the table, when in the BayName and BayNameDest columns, if you reference connections involving the alternate (or secondary) path of the bay, the suffix "%A" will be added to the bays' names, so that they can be treated differently by the algorithm in real time.
